What to do when it's raining/snow day/too hot and you need to get out of the house...

We all know the weather around here isn't always ideal so here's a little list of rainy day suggestions...

Bounce Houses
Austintown and Boardman

Bowling I think just about every area has a bowling alley, most offer bumpers for the kiddos
Sign your kiddos up for the Kids-bowl-free program

Burger King   many of the locations offer a play area

Butler Art  there are locations in Howland and Youngstown and both offer free admission.  The Youngstown location houses The Sweeney Gallery that has hands-on stations allow youngsters to create art.

Chick fil a has a nice little playarea for the younger set

-Eastwood Mall  there's a play area for the little ones, a train ride for the young at heart and an aquarium to visit
-
Shenango-valley has a play area and party zone-Southern Park Mall has a great play area for the little ones.

McDonald's   the locations in front of Super K and in Austintown offer a play areas but my kids get just as big a kick out of the Most Magnificent McDonalds in the Warren/Howland area.

Salem Fun Factory  there website indicates they have skating, bounce houses and trains!
They have a rollerskating rink upstairs, a bounce house and kids play area (tunnels and slides etc.) downstairs. Trains will be set up on an adventure track,
kids will be able to crank themselves around the track through tunnels and around other props as well.

Skating  I think there are rinks in  Cortland, Youngstown and Austintown as well as an indoor ice rink in Boardman -The Ice Zone
Sign your kiddos up for the Kids Skate Free program (currently honored at Skate Zone & Champion Skate)

Swim!  There are a few indoor pools in our area (Hubbard, JCC in Liberty), see if any are offering open swim hours.  Here's my list of pools in this area.
